Coastal hotel sells for close to £1.75m

The Cliff Hotel, set on the Welsh coastal area of Gwbert-on-Sea, Cardigan, has sold for close to the asking price of £1.75m. New owners, Paul and Ann Jaycock also run the Ivy Bush Royal Hotel in Carmarthen. The 72-room hotel boasts a nine-hole golf course and swimming pool, plus a 100-cover main restaurant, a second 50-cover restaurant, and a function room with a capacity of 300. The Jaycocks plan to turn the hotel into a year-round destination by adding a spa and heavily promoting the golf course. The agent was Christie and Co.
