Coaching Inn Group profits from Christmas boom after narrowing full year losses

Market town hotel, restaurant and coffee shop operator Coaching Inn Group has reported an increase in sales by 27.1% over the Christmas period - with like for likes up by 9.4%.

Sales rose overall to £3.06m across the period, stating the results "are a clear reflection of our continued investment in the estate, as well our continued investment in our central sales office with improved take-up of our Christmas accommodation packages, festive party nights, and Christmas menus helping to drive the overall performance".

Meanwhile in its annual results, the brand, which currently operates in 15 sites in the UK, saw an increase in revenue for the year ending March 2019 of £2.9m to £20m.

The firm narrowed its losses after financing costs on the previous year - from £940,000 to £600,000, while site EBITDAR rose from £3.1m to £3.9m the previous year.
