Clacton hotel and function venue changes hands

Local investor Scott Luckey has bought the Geisha hotel and function venue in the Essex coastal resort of Clacton-on-Sea.

The hotel in Marine Parade East is claimed to be one of the most profitable in Clacton.

It offers guests 15 bedrooms, a 65-seat bar and games room, and an 80-seat dining room that doubles as a function room.

The upper floors accommodate two three-bedroom self-catering flats, along with a two-bedroom owners' flat.

The Ipswich office of Christie + Co sold the freehold off a guide price of £1.2m on behalf of Neville Allen and wife.
