Choice Hotels adds two more properties to portfolio

This will bring the number of new hotels opened in 2013 up to 11 in total.

Premier Inn Manchester North is to become the Comfort Inn Manchester North, with 42 rooms, while the 68-room Richmond Gate Hotel in London's South West will become the Clarion Collection Hotel Richmond Gate.

The latter hotel has been refurbished, including its bar, while guests can also use the indoor spa, swimming pool and gym.

Both properties will offer free Wi-Fi and parking.

Choice Hotels Europe UK chief executive Duncan Berry said: "We are delighted to announce the first Comfort brand hotel in Manchester, bringing the total number of Comfort hotels in the UK to 18. The addition of Clarion Collection Hotel Richmond Gate brings the number of hotels across all brands in our UK portfolio this year to 46."

He also confirmed that there were plans to open more hotels in 2014.

The Choice Hotels brand manages the Comfort, Quality and Clarion brands in Europe, and is part of Choice Hotels International.
