Chef Paulo Airaudo set to launch Da Terra at the Town Hall hotel, London

Paulo Airaudo is set to launch new restaurant De Terra at the Town Hall hotel in Bethnal Green, east London.

The relaxed fine dining restaurant, accompanied by Da Terra bar, is set to launch on 23 January in the former site of Lee Westcott's Typing Room. Other former tenants include Nuno Mendes, who ran Viajante from the site.

The site follows on from Airaudo's success in San Sebastian, Spain, where the chef's restaurant Amelia currently holds one Michelin star. An Argentinian who's family originally hails from Italy, his style draws on a range of influences from both countries.

Alongside Airaudo, chef Rafael Cagali - formerly of the Fat Duck, Fera and Aulis - will also head up the operation.
