Britney provides inspiration for bedroom
Pop star Britney Spears may have come under fire from the tabloids for her recent bout of Bourbon-swigging and junk food binges, but one US hotel chain is capitalising on the media coverage.
Kimpton Hotels & Resorts has just opened a Britney Spears bedroom at its Onyx hotel in Boston. The room, which was designed by the multimillionaire's mother, Lynne, to resemble Britney's bedroom at her family home in Kentwood, Louisiana, costs $399 (£189) a night. The room also features a minibar stocked with her favourite snacks and a collection of her CDs. In September the bathroom will be stocked with Britney's soon-to-be-launched fragrance, Curious.
In another commercial move, Kimpton will be providing a price sheet for guests who want to buy selected items from the room.
