Britannia buys Bournemouth hotel from administrators

Britannia Hotels has bought the three-star Heathlands hotel in Bournemouth out of administration for a rumoured £3m.

One of Bournemouth's best known hotels, the Heathlands offers 115 bedrooms, the 220-seat Pavilion restaurant, a 50-seat lounge bar and six conference and banqueting suites, the largest with a capacity for 270 guests.

The hotel, in Grove Road, is a short walk from seven miles of Blue Flag beaches. Its landscaped gardens contains a heated swimming pool and children's' splash pool bordered by sheltered patios.

There is also free parking for up to 100 cars.

Christie + Co sold the hotel on behalf of joint administrators Andy Beckingham and Matthew Chadwick of BDO Stoy Hayward LLP.
