Best Western names its Midland Hotel UK hotel of the year

Hotel consortium Best Western has named the Midland Hotel in Derby as its UK hotel of the year.

The 95-bedroom, four-star, Victorian hotel was judged on criteria ranging from quality assessment scores, customer service skills, quality awards and achievements, to brand compliance.

Other winners were:

  • Scottish region - Best Western Bruntsfield Hotel, Edinburgh
  • North-east region - Best Western Rombalds Hotel & Restaurant, Ilkley
  • North-west region - Best Western Appleby Manor Country House Hotel, Cumbria
  • South-east region - Best Western Delmere Hotel, Central London, Hyde Park
  • Central- East region - Best Western Annesley House Hotel, Norwich
  • Central - West region and overall winner - Best Western Midland Hotel, Derby.

Best Western has 290 member hotels in the UK and over 4,200 members in 80 countries worldwide.
