Andrew Turner swaps 1880 at the Bentley for Pennyhill Park

Andrew Turner, executive chef at the 1880 restaurant in London's Bentley hotel, is moving to the Pennyhill Park hotel and spa in Bagshot, Surrey.

Turner will head up all food-and-beverage operations at Pennyhill Park, including the three-AA-rosette fine-dining Latymer Restaurant, the Brasserie and Oyster Bar and the spa café.

David Broadhead, general manager of Pennyhill, said he wanted to improve the profile of the hotel's restaurants.

"After our former chef , Karl Edmunds, left last November, we decided that this was a chance to get someone with a high profile into the kitchen."

Turner, who starts his new job in March, said he was looking forward to a new challenge.

"We've been very successful at 1880 but an opportunity like Pennyhill Park is not something you turn down. My aim will be to sew up the distance between London and Pennyhill Park. I want to put the hotel's food on the culinary map."
