Andrew Batchelor promoted to general manager at the London Landmark

Andrew Batchelor has been promoted to general manager from hotel manager at the Landmark London.

Batchelor's new role marks the latest milestone in his career with the Landmark Lancaster Hotel Group. He joined sister hotel the Lancaster London as food and beverage manager in 1989, becoming director of events five years later, and hotel manager of the Lancaster London in 2003.

Batchelor, who arrived at the five-star, 300-bedroom Landmark London last year, said: "I have been very fortunate in that I have inherited a fantastic team who are totally invested in the success of this hotel. They have been wonderful to work with during the last year; I have been very grateful for their support and look forward to this next stage with them."

In his new role as general manager, Batchelor intends to focus on continually improving the guest experience at the hotel. "The Landmark London is a wonderful property and I am honoured to be the general manager," he said. "I will be working with the team to deliver truly outstanding memorable moments for our guests, establishing a world-class destination for the discerning traveller."

Batchelor has replaced Francis Green, who has retired after 18 years as the hotel's general manager.
