Accor's second Mercure branded hotel in the UK opens in Bristol

Accor Hotels has signed a long-term lease agreement on the 116-room Brigstow hotel in Bristol with Pedersen Hotels, which yesterday reopened as only the second Mercure-branded hotel in the UK.

Brigstow was last month sold by pub operator Fuller, Smith & Turner for £17.09m to Pedersen Hotels.

Accor also operates the four-star Mercure London City Bankside.

The Brigstow Bristol Mercure property is located close to the M4 and M5 as well as the Bristol Parkway and Temple Mead mainline railway stations.

All rooms feature plasma televisions and Wi-Fi access, and its bar and restaurant serves a menu of seasonal dishes made from locally-sourced ingredients.

The hotel's conference facilities can cater for up to 80 delegates across four meeting rooms.

Accor enjoys strong start to the year >>
