Abode Manchester promotes Jamie Stevens to general manager

Former Acorn winner Jamie Stevens has been promoted to general manager of Abode Manchester.

Stevens started his career with Abode hotels in 2007 as a graduate trainee. He was appointed general manager of Abode Glasgow in 2008, where he has made significant changes, which resulted in the hotel picking up several awards, including Glasgow Hotel of the Year, Small City Hotel of the Year and Restaurant of the Year for Scotland 2009 by Catering in Scotland.

In 2009 he became one of Caterer's Acorn Awards winners, which celebrates 30 of hospitality's high achievers under the age of 30.

Commenting on Stevens' promotion, managing director Nick Halliday said: "This is a challenging role and one in which I am sure Jamie will continue to make a positive impression.

"He is an ambitious individual who is working hard for success and will fully deserve the recognition that will come his way."
