AA to launch new upmarket guidebook

Motoring organisation the AA is launching a new guidebook this autumn called The Guest List.

The guide, which the group claims is aimed at VIPs, will make its debut on 1 October and lists 42 of what it considers to be the UK's best restaurants and hotels.

The author, food writer Jenni Muir, said: "Only the very best hotels and restaurants made it into The Guest List. Those that made the final cut are special, and each has a top restaurant on the premises or just a stroll away."

Among the entrants in the new guide, which does not charge for entries, is One Aldwych hotel in London, Ynyshir Hall hotel in Wales and L'Enclume restaurant in Cumbria.

But the guide also has room for less well known locations, such as Byfords bed and breakfast in Holt in Norfolk, The Crown and Castle hotel in Suffolk and Swinton Park hotel in North Yorkshire.
