Frank Bandura joins Gusto as chief financial officer

Former Carluccio's chief financial officer Frank Bandura has joined Gusto Italian restaurant group in the same role.

Bandura, who left Carluccio's in 2016 after 17 years in the role, has replaced Gusto's departing financial director Gemma Peel. After leaving Carluccio's he had set up his own advisory business Walpole LLP.

Gusto managing director Matt Snell said: "To have secured Frank's services is a major coup for us. His experience in navigating hospitality businesses through difficult periods is unrivalled and I can't think of many more difficult periods than the one we are in."

Gusto operates 18 Italian restaurants across the UK. Gusto was originally part of the Living Ventures group. In 2014, Palatine Private Equity supported a management buy-out.
