Volunteers sought to join Springboard Charity's trek to India
Hospitality professionals seeking the challenge of a lifetime are invited join a forthcoming fundraising trek to Northern India with the Springboard Charity.
Up to 25 individuals are set to travel to Little Tibet, one of the world's poorest and most remote regions to undertake a 10-day expedition, involving trekking in the Dhauladhar mountains in the shadows of the Himalayas and a volunteering project.
Jacqui Allum, one of the participants in Nepal 2014, who is head of new openings at Premier Inn, said: "Volunteering in the school was awesome and the pinnacle of the trip after the exhilarating and physically exerting trek. I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to take part in such an amazing project, a truly humbling and emotional experience which will stay with us all forever."
The educational and volunteering project in Little Tibet will involve the trekkers helping to improve the lives of young people in a remote village. Individuals will also raise money to support young people in the UK as they seek employment, which is Springboard's primary purpose.
It is hoped that each participant will raise £3,500 for the charity. Cost of the trip will be an additional £1,500.
