Top quick-service restaurants in 2009
Yum! retained its status as the largest operator of quick-service restaurants in the UK during 2009 with 1,400 KFC and Pizza Hut outlets.
There was no change in the top six positions compared with 2008. Lyndale Foods, Greggs the bakers, Cooplands and Peter's all disappeared from the table, while the new entries were largely chicken-based chains (Favorite, Dixy Chicken and Chicken Cottage) along with pizza franchise operator PizzaGoGo.
