The Guardian's public services editor to speak at NACC Forum

The Guardian's public services editor David Brindle will be a guest speaker at the National Association of Care Catering's (NACC) Training & Development Forum in October.

The journalist, who specialises in social policy issues, will talk about his experience of reporting on the public sector.

Neel Radia, national chair of the NACC, said: "It's really important that the forum offers delegates new perspectives and commentary, and David will certainly provide this.

"David is a highly-respected journalist. His experience and knowledge of public services is wide reaching and he genuinely cares about making a positive difference within the sector. His insight and observations will be fascinating and will definitely give us all something to think about."

The NACC Training & Development Forum will include a host of speakers, training workshops, practical culinary demonstrations and a supplier exhibition.

It will take place from 5 to 7 October at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham.

The following day a team of six NACC members will take part in a charity skydive to raise money for the Food Chain and Alzheimer's Society.
