The Caterer's Product Excellence Awards: shortlist revealed
The Caterer is delighted to announce the shortlist for the 2014 Product Excellence Awards which recognise excellence and innovation in food, drink and equipment products within the hospitality sector.
With customer expectations rising and competition fierce in the marketplace, food service operators need a point of difference for their offerings. Sourcing the right products is paramount and our new Product Excellence Awards aim to showcase these excellent products and services.
The judging sessions took place over five days and decisions were agreed by industry experts from across all sectors of hospitality. Judges tasted more than 120 products and debated nearly 100 pieces of equipment and looked for excellence in flavour, design and innovation.
Oliver Cock, commercial director for Compass Group & Ireland said: "Great products are absolutely fundamental to the success of our industry and we are lucky to have had such a fantastic array to choose from. The Product Excellence Awards will celebrate the producers and suppliers that enable us to deliver the very best food and service."
The winners will be announced on Tuesday 2 December at Westminster Kingsway College, London, the hosts for a large part of the judging.
