The Caterer's 2017 Product Excellence Awards: shortlist announced
The Caterer is delighted to announce the shortlist for the 2017 Product Excellence Awards, which recognise excellence and innovation in food, drink and equipment products within the hospitality sector.
Lisa Jenkins, products and suppliers editor for The Caterer, said: "We had more entries than ever this year and it gives us great pleasure to share these results and to recognise the extraordinary creativity, innovation, technological advances and sheer hard work that exists in this sector.
"Whatever type of business you have in hospitality, you rely on your product suppliers to excite and engage your customers. Consumers of food and drink continually expect new entertainment, quick service and ingenious flavour sensations," added Jenkins.
Hundreds of food and drink products were tested by respected chefs and specialists during September and equipment entries debated at length by industry experts from across all sectors of hospitality.
2017 will also see two ‘winner of winners' awards presented; one to a food/drink product and one an equipment product that scored most highly during the judging process. The overall winners will be announced at the end of the evening.
All finalists have now been advised of their inclusion in the shortlist and will be provided with finalists' logos.
This year the Product Excellence Awards will be supported by Mevalco Fine Foods from Spain partnering with The Caterer on the night to provide the taste of Spain for guests. The event will be held at The In & Out, Naval and Military Club, No. 4 St James's Square, London, SW1Y 4JU on the 5 December 2017 with each finalist company allocated a ticket to the awards evening.
