Sponne School ks expressions of interest for the operation of catering services

Sponne School invites expressions of interest for the provision of the school meal service at the oversubscribed science and music academy Towcester Academy in the South West of Northamptonshire.

The Governors seek an innovative catering contractor to deliver a good quality and profitable catering service to the school's 1,242 students and 185 staff. The caterer must share the school's commitment for a 100% healthy offer and work in a productive partnership to educate our students on the benefits of healthy eating and lifestyles.

The services will include the provision of Breakfast, Break-time and Lunchtime that is nutritionally sound and in line with current Government standards for Maintained Schools. Out of hours catering may also be required for school functions and meetings at pre-determined times.

The contract will run from 1st September 2012 to 31st August 2015 with an option to extend for a further two years by mutual agreement.

Caterers wishing to express an interest in operating the services at Sponne School should request an information pack and pre-qualification questionnaire from: Sue Wagstaff, facilities manager on swagstaff@sponne.org.uk

All initial information will be sent by email however further information is available on www.sponne.org.uk including more detailed contact information during the Easter Holidays and an invitation to view the school prior to submitting a formal tender.
