Sodexo has won two education catering contracts, in Liverpool and Leicester, together worth around £2m in total turnover.

The new deals at Enterprise South Liverpool Academy and Leicester Grammar School started this autumn and see Sodexo providing meals for up to 2,400 pupils every week.

The contract with Enterprise South Liverpool Academy will be for three years with a team of 20 looking after the services. Sodexo has introduced its secondary school offer ‘For You' at the Academy, which is compliant with Government legislation to encourage healthier eating in schools.

Andy Edmunds, Sodexo contract manager at Enterprise South Liverpool Academy, said: "At Sodexo, we pride ourselves on our innovative and progressive approach to our services, and are pleased to be able to partner with a school that places great emphasis on developing students for the workplace."

A team of 19 will work the three-year contract at Leicester Grammar School where Sodexo has introduced its new ‘Be' menu offer, which includes an exciting range of fresh and seasonal produce, as well as Red Tractor accredited food and MSC certified fish. A new build café-bar serving Costa Coffee for the sixth form and parents opened today.
