Sodexho wins Pottery Club contract
Sodexho's Directors Table has been awarded a three-year contract from the British Pottery Manufacturers Federation Club in Stoke on Trent. The £750,000 deal starts in August and will employ 16 staff members. The company will provide catering and hospitality for a large restaurant, cocktail bar, a lounge bar and private dining rooms.
Contract catering chefs awarded
A Swindon chef has been named Top Young Chef of the Year by the Craft Guild of Chefs. Twenty-year-old James Baker works for defence catering specialist ESS as a general chef at the Joint Services Command and Staff College in Shrivenham. The category is open to chefs under the age of 23 who can demonstrate a passion for the industry, excellent technical skills, wide food knowledge, flair and commitment.
Avenance executive chef at Lloyd's of London, Hayden Groves has been named as Contract Catering Chef of the Year by the Craft Guild of Chefs. Groves joined Avenance in July 2004 and he and his team of 15 full-time and two part-time employees cater for 2,500 people every day at Lloyd's.
Charlton House wins new contracts in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire
Voca, a provider of secure payment services, has awarded its catering contract to Charlton House. The four-year contract is worth £350,000 in annual turnover and started on 3 July. The nine Charlton House staff took over from caterer Eurest at the company's two sites in Rickmansworth and Dunstable, and will provide breakfast, lunch and deli bar services for the 695 Voca staff.
ISS Eaton celebrates half year boom
ISS Eaton has added more than £5.5m worth of annual turnover to its business and established a nationwide presence in the first half of this year. The company has retained its contract at Societe Generale's two London buildings in a new five-year contract. The British Council has also awarded ISS Eaton with a contract, as has The Guild Hall in London and Quest International in Kent. Nestlé has awarded the company the contracts for its Halifax and Castleford sites.
