Sodexho wins army garrison deal… and other contract catering news

Sodexho wins 10-year contract at army garrisons
Sodexho has won a 10-year contract to provide catering, mess management and cleaning services at Salisbury Plain and Aldershot garrisons in Hampshire and Wiltshire. The deal, which will see 1,700 Sodexho staff cater for 18,000 military and civilian personnel at 82 outlets, will turn over £30m a year.

Charlton House bags seventh deal with Xansa Independent caterer Charlton House has won its seventh contract with outsourcing and technology group Xansa. The one-year rolling deal, which will see two Charlton House staff cater for 300 Xansa employees at its Wakefield office, will turn over about £100,000 a year. The deal was previously run by Initial business and industry division Autograph.

Holroyd Howe adds four more deals to its books Independent caterer Holroyd Howe has won a three-year contract to provide catering services at travel and tourism IT company Amadeus in Hounslow, London. The deal, which will turn over about £200,000 per year, will see five Holroyd Howe staff cater for 320 Amadeus employees. It was previously run by Harrisons.

Holroyd Howe has landed a three-year deal at the Department of Physics at Oxford University. The deal, which will see six staff cater for 600 people on site, will turn over £275,000 per year. It was previously run in house.

Holroyd Howe has won a three-year deal to provide catering services at barrister training inn the Honourable Society of Grays Inn, London. The deal, which will see 30 Holroyd Howe staff cater for about 100 barristers per day, will turn over more than £1.5m per year. The contract was previously run by Compass Group business and industry division Eurest.

Holroyd Howe has also landed a five-year contract to provide catering services at the Vantage West building in Chiswick, London. The deal, which will see five Holroyd Howe staff cater for 1,000 employees, will turn over about £250,000 per year. It was previously run by Avenance.

Independent caterer wins Moy Park contract from Sodexho Independent caterer Edwards and Blake has won a three-year contract at chicken processing group Moy Park at five sites in East Anglia and the Midlands. The deal, which will turn over £2m per year, will see 41 Edwards and Blake staff cater for 3,500 Moy Park employees. The sites were previously shared between Sodexho, Compass Group business and industry division Eurest and Moy Park's own in house catering division.

Whiskey distiller continues contract with Eurest Compass Group business and industry division Eurest has extended its contract with whisky distillers John Dewar & Sons in Glasgow for three years. The deal, which will turn over £400,000 per year, will see three Eurest staff cater for 120 Dewar employees.

Medirest extends contract with Ealing hospital Compass Group healthcare division Medirest has extended its contract with Ealing Hospital in London for two years. The deal, which will turn over £8m per year, will see Medirest provide catering, cleaning and portering services to approximately 450 patients on 15 wards.

Sodexho chief executive appointed to Better Regulation Commission Sodexho chief executive Philip Jansen has been appointed to the Better Regulation Commission. The independent body advises the Government on the reduction of unnecessary red-tape in business.

Revolution Café wins Best Hopitality Environment awardElior's Revolution Café at the London Science Museum has won the Design Week award for Best Hospitality Environment. The site, which is operated by the group's Digby Trout division, was praised for its 4m high graphic band, coloured glass ceilings, refectory-style tables and LED menus.
