Sodexho chef Anton Edelmann is to join 46,000 runners at this year's Flora London Marathon raising money for charity.
Edelmann, principal chef at Sodexho's fine dining arm Directors Table, will be running in support of children's charity Wellchild.
As part a tie-up with Unilever Foodsolutions, which makes Flora spread, every message of encouragement sent to the chef via the Unilever website will see the food solutions company donate ten pence up to a total of £5,000 to Wellchild.
Charmian Day, senior product manager of Unilever Foodsolutions, said: "We are working hard so that more and more chefs recognise Flora spread as an ingredient which fits in well in a healthy and nutritious menu and it is fantastic that we have one of the UK's top chefs running the race this year."
Anton Edelmann has previously worked for the Dorchester hotel, the Portman InterContinental, Grosvenor House hotel and the Savoy hotel, all in London.
