Servest Group wins £750,000 contract with Pestana Chelsea Bridge

Foodservice firm Servest Group has won a housekeeping contract worth £750,000 with the Pestana Chelsea Bridge hotel, in London's new Chelsea Bridge Wharf development.

The three-year contract officially began in October 2013, and offers the option for a two-year extension. Servest has brought in 18 staff, whose training and development was said to be especially praised by Pestana Hotels & Resorts.

The four-star, 216-bedroom hotel and spa is the first in the UK for the Pestana brand, which already has luxury hotels across Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, and North and South America. The new site also has a spa with a pool, relaxation area, sauna and steam room, plus meeting facilities with capacity for up to 500 people.

There is also the Atlantico Restaurant and Lounge offering Portuguese-European-inspired food and drink.

Commenting on the new contract, Norma Bresciani, managing director London at Servest, said: "It is a privilege to work with the fresh and exciting Pestana brand."

Servest is a foodservice and facilities provider with over 15,000 staff across 4,000 UK sites, across industries including the leisure, commercial and logistics sectors.

A member of CBI, the Group acquired the 7 Day Catering Group last year as part of its overall plans to expand its catering services.

It catering arm Servest Catering announced four contracts worth a combined £500k last week.
