Self-sealing sandwich wedges from Planglow

Catering label and packaging specialist Planglow has launched a new style of sandwich wedge that allows customers to seal their sandwiches for a longer shelf life without having to spend upwards of £1,000 on a heat-sealing machine. The wedges, made from biodegradable and compostable material, come with a peel-off strip concealing a food-safe adhesive that will seal the package to provide a 48-hour shelf life. The adhesive will also reseal after opening, allowing customers to save part of their sandwich for later. The wedges, sold in boxes of 500, come in the Rosso design with an oval window or in a design specified by the customer.
