Salon returns for the big show
Hospitality, 2007's largest exhibition for food service and hospitality, takes place at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham from 22-24 January.
The show, which will feature several new attractions, sees the return of Salon Culinaire for competition chefs.
The Live Theatre will house eight competition kitchens, a dedicated cold display area, and a battle between Michelin-starred chefs in the La Parade des Chefs working kitchen. Among the teams competing are brigades from Gleneagles in Auchterarder, Simpsons in Birmingham and Claridge's in London.
In addition to Salon, the Craft Guild of Chefs will be running the Skillery theatre with a varied programme designed to teach techniques and skills to chefs of all levels.
The HCIMA will be operating its successful seminars throughout the three days, offering practical advice and guidance on setting up and running a small business. They will cover topics such as marketing, finance, IT business planning, recruitment and property sourcing.
The Careers in Hospitality pavilion, a new feature at the show, aims to overcome the issues companies and employers in the hospitality sector face when recruiting or retaining experienced and skilled staff.
The second of the shows incorporated into Hospitality is Hostec Marketplace - Europe's largest, dedicated hospitality, food service and leisure technology event in 2007.
Leading suppliers will be demonstrating the latest software in the industry, while free Hostec Marketplace seminars will give practical advice on a range of IT issues.
The show is expected to attract more than 14,000 delegates, while over 300 companies will be showcasing products and services.
