Pub boss, hotel group founder and Ramsay chef honoured in New Year list
The boss of one of England and Wales's largest pub companies has been appointed a CBE in the New Year's honours list.
Ted Tuppen, chief executive of Enterprise Inns, which pulled out of Scotland in November, was one of many hospitality honours.
Jasminder Singh, founder and chairman of Radisson Edwardian received an OBE for services to the hotel industry, as did Simon Loftus, chairman of brewer Adnams, for services to business.
Angela Hartnett, executive chef at the Connaught hotel, was made an MBE.
Other MBE recipients included Albert Hampson former business manager of AA Hotel Services; Nigel Way, proprietor of the Royal Castle Hotel in Dartmouth; Terry Wiggins, sous chef at the House of Commons and Comfort Omoko, senior catering manager for the Metropolitan Police Service.
Vince Power, owner of bar and nightclub business the Vince Power Media Group, was presented with an honorary CBE for his contribution to music last month by Culture Secretary Tessa Jowell.
