Plyvine Catering celebrates 30th anniversary

Midlands-based outside caterer Plyvine Catering is this year celebrating three decades in business.

Managing director Phil Matthews originally formed the company in 1980 with just two employees, but since then the business has expanded to include 30 full time staff and its own freehold production kitchens and offices in the West Midlands.

Events catered for by the firm range from intimate weddings to banquets for 2,000 diners. In addition, Plyvine operates bar outlets at a number of venues for private organisations and local authorities.

"There have been many highlights and happy customers over the thirty years but my personal favourite was catering for the banquet for the Queen's visit in 2001 and the lovely letter from her Private Secretary afterwards," said Matthews.
