People Moves: Mark Jordan, Paul Rety, Mark Duncan…

Hotels

The four-star, 50-bedroom Atlantic Hotel in St Brelade, Jersey, has a new head chef. Mark Jordan has joined the kitchen team from the Gilpin Lodge hotel near Windermere, Cumbria, where he was head chef.

Paul Rety has become general manager of the 300-bedroom Thistle Glasgow. Paul was most recently managing the Harrogate Moat House in Yorkshire.

The four-star, 180-bedroom De Montfort Hotel in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, has appointed Paul Nason general manager. Paul previously worked for Hanover Hotels as general manager of the Daventry hotel, Northamptonshire.

Macdonalds Hotels has welcomed Andrew Forrest as general manager of its 100-bedroom Cardrona Hotel, Golf and Country Club in Cardrona, Peebles-shire. Andrew previously worked at the Hollins Hall Marriott Hotel and Country Club, Shipley, West Yorkshire, where he held the same position.

Duncan
The four-star, 283-bedroom Glasgow Moat House has two new members of staff. Joining as catering services manager is Mark Dowdall, who previously worked at the Montechero Beach Club in Portugal. Taking on the role of conference and banqueting operations manager is Mark Duncan. He formerly worked in conference and banqueting at the Holiday Inn Glasgow City - West. North British Trust Group, parent company of British Trust Hotels and Crerar Hotels, has appointed Laura Muir general manager for Travel Trade, a division which handles overseas tour operators. Laura has been with the group for 10 years, most recently in the post of assistant to the group marketing director. ### Pubs and bars Drummond Hall, chief executive of chilled foods manufacturer Diary Crest Group, has become a non-executive director of Mitchells & Butlers. ### Contract catering
