The Pageant Hotel Group has appointed Teresa Duncan business development manager of its 52-bedroom Cisswood House Hotel near Horsham, Sussex. Teresa was formerly sales and marketing manager at the Regency Park Hotel in Thatcham, Berkshire.
Oriel Leisure, owner of eight Express by Holiday Inn hotels, has made two new senior appointments. Nicholas Bloom has joined as sales director of serviced apartments, while Tim Wheeldon has become development consultant. Nicholas moves from Euracom, an agency providing serviced apartments. Tim was previously property director of hotel franchisor Golden Tulip.
InterContinental Hotels Group has appointed David Knappler senior independent non-executive director and chairman of the company's audit committee.

Compass Group subsidiary Medirest has appointed a new managing director, Ian Sarson. Ian peviously worked for Sodexho as managing director for Hong Kong and south China.
Terry Waldron has become sales and marketing direcor of Aramark. Terry has previously worked for Williams Lea, a business process outsourcing company.

Kristina Paider, director of marketing at electronic marketing company Travelclick, is moving jobs next month. She will join property advisor Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels in the same role.
Three industry figures have joined the board of charity Hospitality Action. They are: Fred Barnes, chief executive of food supplier 3663; Sue Harrison, director of catering at the House of Commons; and Grant Hearn, chief executive of hotel operator Travelodge.
