Management reshuffle at Mount Charles Group
Trevor Annon, founder and owner of Belfast-based caterer Mount Charles Group, has stepped up to the role of chairman as the business gets ready to celebrate its 25th anniversary next year.
The management reshuffle has resulted in the promotion of finance director Cathal Geoghegan to managing director of Ireland's largest independently owned catering and support services company.
The business, which employs 1,100, and has an annual reported turnover in excess of £20m, will mark 25 years in business from 1 January. Annon described the last quarter of a century as exciting, challenging and lots of fun.
"Of course in recent years all of that has been tempered by a depressed economic climate, probably one of the most difficult I've ever faced," he added. "Yet our company continues to grow, expand and diversify and has become much more than a catering business, now employing people in facilities management, vending and cleaning.
"Suffice to say we've come a long way from where we started and it's time to structure our future to recognise what we have become and in line with our ambitions.
Mount Charles operates across Northern Ireland at locations that include the Giant's Causeway, Titanic Belfast, the Waterfront Hall and Belfast International Airport. It also works in education and business & industry.
