Liverpool FC to host first Big Hospitality Conversation of 2017
Organised by the British Hospitality Association (BHA) in partnership with Springboard and Department for Work and Pension, the scheme will bring together industry leaders, key businesses and jobseekers aged 18-24 as a stepping stone to creating career opportunities, including apprenticeships and work placements, for young people aged 16-24.
The event will be held in the newly expanded main stand of Liverpool FC, which recently generated over 1,000 match day jobs through a recruitment drive.
Ufi Ibrahim, chief executive of the British Hospitality Association (BHA) said she was "delighted" to be visiting Liverpool for the latest Big Hospitality Conversation, which has resulted in more than 40 events and 70,000 pledges of jobs and work placements since its launch in 2012.
"It will be fantastic to showcase the success of these events which take place around the UK, to highlight the huge impact they have on young people's lives," she said.
"Having apprentices speaking about their own experience and successful careers is a great way to inspire young people to join our exciting industry."
Andrew Parkinson, operations director, Liverpool Football Club, added: "It's sure to be a great event and we hope that the newly expanded Main Stand will provide an inspirational and memorable setting for all of those in attendance."
The Big Hospitality Conversation will be held in Liverpool in 14 February. Businesses wishing to attend the event are invited to register here and job seekers can register their attendance here.
