Increased London apprentice grant offers boost to businesses

London hospitality employers will now find it easier to take on apprentices after the newly-increased apprenticeship grant from the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) has made it cheaper to employ young people currently in training.

Recruitment service Lifetime Training is an example of a company that helps hospitality businesses to add new, apprentice team-members to their ranks; can give time-poor managers support when it comes to applying for the AGE; and knows how useful apprentices can be to the industry.

"The enhanced grant is great news for London employers and young people," said Lifetime Training CEO Alex Khan. "Thanks to the NAS, there's no better time than now for businesses to take on their first apprentice and start reaping the benefits of enthusiastic and motivated learners."

The grant is only available to London employers, who can apply for a maximum of ten grants, first- come-first-serve, until 31 December.
