HOSPACE 2011 to examine impact of 2012 Olympics on the industry
The impact of the London 2012 Olympics upon the hospitality industry is to come under analysis at a forthcoming event, HOSPACE 2011.
Against a background of economic turmoil in Europe and the United States, a team of experts will lead the overview session on the current state of the industry in the UK at the conference, to be held on 24 November at the Sofitel, London Heathrow at Terminal 5.
HOSPACE 2011 is the new name for the 6th annual BAHA (British Association of Hospitality Accountants) Hospitality Finance Conference and IT Exhibition. Speakers will include Ciaran Fahy, managing director, the Cavendish London; Sarah Duignan, director of account management, STR Global; Peter Martin, founder, Peach Factory, which provides analysis of the UK eating and drinking-out market; and Liz Hall, head of research for hospitality and leisure, PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Fahy will set the scene on hotel occupancies in London and the provinces, retail food and beverage sales considered in relation to consumer and product trends, future forecasts for the UK hotel markets, and the impact of the Olympics.
