Harbour & Jones to celebrate 10 years with H&J awards

Caterer Harbour & Jones (H&J) has launched its inaugural in-house awards to celebrate 10 years since the company was founded in 2004.

The H&J Awards, sponsored Sustain from Bunzl Catering Supplies, will see staff at the caterer nominate each other to win one of 10 categories, including the Unsung Hero award, Chef of the Year, Young Chef of the Year, and Customer Service award.

Michelin-starred chef Jeff Galvin of Galvin Restaurants and Caterer and Hotelkeeper foodservice editor Janie Manzoori-Stamford will guest judge the Dish of the Year category, while the company founders Patrick Harbour and Nathan Jones will decide the winner of the ultimate Values Award.

"The 10 categories are symbolic of our 10 years in business and aim to recognise every level of the company from unsung kitchen porters and hard-working administrators to our fantastic front of house teams," said Harbour. "We have a wealth of talent across the business and launching the awards gives us a real opportunity to recognise the hard work and dedication that already happens every day."

Deadline for entry is 31 March and the winners will be announced at a party on 16 May.
