Grazing Catering appoints new head chef

Michael Barnes has been appointed head chef of Grazing Catering, the workplace and venue food company.

The role, which has been created for Barnes, will see him managing the company's production kitchens, as well as work alongside Grazing's executive chef Robbie Lorraine to develop menus and train new employees within the business.

Barnes joins from Swan at Shakespeare's Globe in London, and has previously worked for By Word of Mouth Catering and Rhubarb.

This appointment is part of Grazing Catering's continued growth strategy which has also seen the appointment of Ben McEwen as heads of business development and Blake Henderson as head of operations.

Lorraine said: "It's a pleasure to have Mike on board. He has a good eye for detail and lots of skill which produces great quality work. I am looking forward to working with Mike moving forward and know I am leaving the kitchen operation in a safe pair of hands."

Barnes added: "I am really excited to have joined Grazing. To have the opportunity to work with Robbie is amazing as his enthusiasm for food and the Grazing brand is infectious. I feel so lucky to have become part of this team."

Founded in 2007, the Grazing group has grown from a single café to a multi-faceted corporate, venue and event catering company, operating across London and the south east.
