Event caterer Dish appoints new executive chef
Event caterer Dish has appointed Nigel Smith as is its new executive chef.
Most recently Smith worked for BaxterStorey, where he headed up the Media Centre kitchens at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Previous experience also includes stints working with top chefs including Gordon Ramsay, Pierre Koffman, Bruno Loubet, John Campbell and Tom Aikens.
Smith has also worked for event caterer Admirable Crichton, the National Museums Liverpool and Chester Boyd.
Nick James, director of Dish, commented: "I am keen to capitalise on the success Dish has to date and move forward with more innovative food styles and concepts.
"Our clients are important to us and were very much involved in this process. It's important that they are happy and understand that our key values of fairly priced food and good service remain whilst we move the company forward."
Smith will start at Dish in March and responsibilities will include recruiting and training of chefs, procurement and balance sheets, plus an active role in customer liaison with the sales team.
