Elior extends Wakefield deal with high street coffee shop

Contract caterer Elior has extended its contract with Wakefield and District Housing (WDH) to operate Coffee Connection in Wakefield city centre.

The deal at the high street coffee shop adds to Elior's existing £1.75m deal to provide catering at two WDH Extra Care sites in Ossett and Featherstone.

Coffee Connection will provide typical coffee shop products. It is incorporated in a service centre developed for WDH tenants.

Elior operations director of healthcare John Bowler said: "Elior is delighted to be embarking on this new city centre venture with WDH. Our offer includes a full menu of freshly prepared coffees, cakes, pastries and sandwiches served by our happy and skilled team in bright and welcoming surroundings."

WDH managing director of operations Steve Rawson added: "We are really pleased to be working with the Elior team and have found their expertise to be invaluable in our first venture into a new market for WDH. We are looking forward to continuing working alongside them as we look to grow and develop the Coffee Connection brand together."
