Around 205 catering staff will transfer under TUPE regulations safeguarding existing jobs and ensuring appropriate legislative compliance.
This is expected to support the efficient transfer of the contract and ensure continuity of service levels at each school.
Terry Parkin, strategic director - people at Brighton & Hove City Council said: "The choice of Eden Foodservice will ensure the children will be provided with high quality meals at excellent value for money.
"The new operation also reflects the Council's commitment to providing healthy and nutritious meals for all pupils and staff, whilst improving the overall sustainability of the catering contract."
