Compass nets £11m deal at National Ice Centre, Nottingham

Compass Group has won a £11m five-year deal to cater at the National Ice Centre (NIC), home of the GB speed skating team and ice hockey's Nottingham Panthers.

Leith's, the conference and banqueting division of Compass, will look after the food and beverage needs of public and private guests at the NIC, which also houses the Nottingham Arena.

Leith's will run the public kiosks and café bars on event days as well as looking after the hospitality suites and the centre's conference and banqueting facilites.

The Arena also hosts music concerts and has four conference rooms the largest of which can seat 280 delegates.

Geoff Huckstep, chief executive at the NIC, said: "The Leith brand is renowned for its extensive experience in providing first-class service, which is precisely what we require to further grow our business."

Compass Group pulled of a massive 10-year £34m turnover deal win at Guildford's Spectrum leisure complex in February.
