Compass Group UK gallops to victory with £300m Jockey Club Racecourse

Compass Group has signed a £300m catering contract extension with the UK's largest racing group Jockey Club Racecourses.

The new six-year food and beverage deal, which follows a previous 10-year contract, will now see the agreement continue until at least 2025 and involve all 15 Jockey Club Racecourses nationwide, including major sites Aintree, Cheltenham, Epson Downs and Newmarket.

The offer will be provided on both racedays and non-racing related events put on by the venues each year, and forms part of Jockey Club's overall development plan, which includes a £45m update to Cheltenham Racecourse.

Paul Fisher, group managing director of Jockey Club Racecourses, said: "This agreement is a sign of our confidence in the partnership and the people on the ground working hard to make it a success. It is key to the high quality experience we offer our customers, and generates important revenues we reinvest back into British racing."

Colin Bailey, managing director for sports, leisure and hospitality at Compass Group UK & Ireland, said: "Over the past four years we have worked hard to build an excellent relationship with Jockey Club Racecourses and the customers we serve. We are really excited about the future as we continue to develop our first-class hospitality together."
