Compass appoints two new executives
Compass Group has made two new appointments to its UK and Ireland executive team.
Oliver Cock has been made managing director, commercial. His previous role within Compass was director of group procurement.
Cock, who has procurement experience with organisations including Diageo and the NHS, replaces Mike Walden, who is leaving the business after 11 years to pursue other opportunities.
Graeme Tomkins has succeeded Andy Harris in the role of sales director, after Harris was promoted to managing director of Restaurant Associates in March.
Tomkins' most recent position was with ADNH Compass - the caterer's joint venture in the Middle East - where he managed sales teams in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Egypt. He joined Compass in 1992 and has held numerous sales and operational roles in the business across different countries and sectors.
Ian Sarson, group managing director of Compass Group, said that Cock and Tomkins' extensive knowledge of the international market will provide great insight into global innovations and trends.
"I would also like to thank Mike for his considerable efforts during his time at Compass. He has contributed greatly to the company," he added. "I wish him all the best for the future."
