Compass acquires IDA Service for £17m

Compass Group has announced the acquisition of Danish food service firm IDA Service for DKK148m (£17m).

IDA, the fourth business to be bought by Compass in the last five months, is an established operator that Compass said will complement its existing operations.

French food service business Caterine Restauration and Indian caterer Tirumala Hospitality Services were acquired by the group in May and August respectively.

The contract caterer's UK division bolstered its full service solution offer with the acquisition of security firm VSG Services, which completed last month.

IDA has been acquired from OKF Holding and its management.
