Clive Jacobs made honorary fellow of Tourism Society

Travel Weekly Group chairman and owner of Caterer and Hotelkeeper Clive Jacobs was made an honorary fellow of the Tourism Society at a special lunch in Westminster organised by the Tourism Consultants Network (TCN) on Tuesday this week.

The lunch was the first of what is planned to be a regular series of guest-speaker lunches organised by TCN, which is a specialist section of the Tourism Society.

During the lunch Jacobs was presented with an honorary Fellowship of the Tourism Society by its president, Lord Thurso MP.

Commenting on receiving the honour, Jacobs said: "I am honoured and encouraged that in the short period of time I have owned Caterer and Hotelkeeper that my efforts have been rewarded and recognised in this way."

Speaking about the event, Sandra Matthews-Marsh, chairman of the Tourism Society, said: "It was a really inspiring lunch and guest of honour, as well as a super venue and company."
