CH&Co appoints Michael Holland as marketing director
Foodservice group CH&Co has appointed Michael Holland as its new marketing director. He joins the company from Legoland Windsor, replacing outgoing director Vanessa Schotes, who has moved to a marketing role outside the food industry.
While at Legoland, Holland helped launch a Lego-themed hotel, and attractions based on the toy brand's Star Wars and Duplo ranges. Before that he worked at the conference and exhibition centre at Wembley Arena, handled communications for Westfield UK and led marketing for the Highcross shopping centre in Leicester.
Holland will focus on building the fast-growing CH&Co group, which last year announced a 26% rise in turnover to £97m, and which expects to break the £100m mark this year.
The company also plans to capitalise on its newly-acquired Apostrophe café group, which operates 23 locations across London, Heathrow and Gatwick. CH&Co, which runs seven different brands, is also looking to expand further, having recently won contracts at Birmingham Botanical Gardens and Warwickshire's Compton Verney Gallery.
Joint chief executive Alison Tyler said that the company's appointment of Holland was a sign of the company's progress, while Holland himself said that he was excited to move back into hospitality, especially within a growing company.
He said: "It's quite simply a fantastic time to join."
