Caterplus wins three-year deal at Jewish secondary school
Caterplus ](http://www.caterplus.co.uk/)has been awarded a three year education catering deal at a new £48m Jewish secondary school in London.
The independent caterer was awarded the contract, worth £260,000 in total turnover, following a competitive tender process conducted through foodservice consultants Litmus Partnership.
The Jewish Community Secondary School (JCoSS) school in Barnet will eventually accommodate 1,310 pupils, with the first intake to start in September, followed by new year groups over forthcoming years.
David Penlington, the firm's sales director, said that Caterplus is now the largest Independent contract caterer to serve the Jewish market, working with seven schools and 30 other organisations.
"We have built up an excellent network of kosher suppliers, created a kosher catering infrastructure and built up a team of experienced kosher nutritionists.
"Not only do we provide excellent quality and imaginatively presented fresh food, but we welcome our clients to see our operation and training procedures first hand, so that they can have confidence in the integrity of the food service we provide," he said.
JCoSS Headteacher Jeremy Stowe-Lindner added: "We are looking forward to a first-class relationship with Caterplus. On quality, range, nutrition, kashrut, experience and enthusiasm, they have demonstrated an ability to offer an excellent service."
