Catering Academy complete management restructure with two appointments

Catering Academy has completed its senior management restructure with two new appointments.

Lesley Pekun and Dan Williams (pictured) have joined the company as director of operations south and area manager south west, respectively.

Pekun, who has more than 30 years' foodservice industry experience, was most recently operations director at BaxterStorey, a role she held for four years.

Her new position will see Pekun assume responsibility for a portfolio of contracts in the south of England turning over in excess of £12m. She will work across a business mix of 70% education and 30% business & industry.

Commenting on her appointment, Pekun said: "My aim as director of operations south will be to dovetail with the existing company strategy, whilst at the same time applying my extensive operational and sales experience to deliver agreed business objectives."

New area manager Dan Williams joins Catering Academy following five years as regional catering manager for the Garden Centre Group. Williams will be responsible for the operational and financial management of his designated area contracts, driving standards and sales whilst providing regular support for the contract team.

Catering Academy's latest recruits mark the culmination of the company's senior management restructure, following the recent appointments of managing director of client services Simon Willis, company executive chef Mark Owen, director of operations north Clare Flanagan and director of operations midlands Kevin Green.
