Aramark wins Caldicot School meals extension
Aramark has won a school meals contract extension at Caldicot School in Monmouthshire, worth £1.76m.
The new three-year deal, with potential to extend for a further two, will see Aramark continue to its full catering service, which first began in 2007.
Aramark will open a new Costa café in the school's sixth-form block, increase capacity in the school's restaurant by 75 spaces, introduce new ‘live action' and snack areas in the restaurant, new decoration, new signage using LCD technology, and a revised menu that supports the Welsh Government's ‘Appetite for Life' nutritional standards for food and drink in Wales.
Andrew Rintoul, regional client relationship manager, South West for Aramark, said: "The key for us has been to not stand still but instead ensure the contract evolves, providing an offer which continues to resonate with pupils, further education students and staff.
"From healthy food through to modern and comfortable eating areas, Caldicot School can expect an appetising few years."
Caldicot School, based on the edge of the town of Caldicot, is an 11-18 years co-educational community school with more than 1,300 pupils.
