Aramark extends Robert Gordon University catering contract
Aramark has extended its contract with Robert Gordon University (RGU), following the opening of its new Riverside East building, to provide extended services across its campus in Aberdeen.
The new deal will run until 2019, but Aramark declined to reveal the value of the contract.
The caterer will now deliver services across eight catering sites instead of the previous six for the university's 13,500 students and 1,500 staff.
"We are thrilled that Aramark's partnership with RGU is not just continuing but growing in scale," commented Deborah Burnside, Aramark director of operations for Aberdeen.
"Our new and exciting concepts will help enhance the overall student experience, backed by an outstanding service. Initial feedback is excellent, and staff and students alike are enthused by the new food service in the Riverside East building."
Aramark said that customer insight and the drive to deliver service excellence were central to its proposals for a new contract. The company's research led to the development of new food concepts, and a new licensed Costa Coffee store in the new Riverside East building.
